Peculiar spellings and typical mistakes. These are words that are not abbreviated, but simply spelled in a new and different way OR the correct spelling was substituted for another similar word...

"Emoticons" are keystrokes that when combined, create cute little typographic images, the most common of which is the smiley face - :)

And finally, a word on "shouting". When someone has a point to make, or has strong emotion on the topic at hand, they may "SHOUT" Typing a word, or string of words in all caps is considered shouting. Typing an entire paragraph in all caps is either ranting, or simply that the person forgot the caps lock was on - :)
